In the Community

Nash Disability Law is proud to support our community.

Recently, we signed on to sponsor 10 inner-city children for the organization My Block, My Hood, My City. MBMHMC takes a group of interested teenagers on a city-wide exploration every month to visit hidden gem businesses and artful intersections, and to expose them to more of Chicago, that they might not otherwise know.

For example, a recent MBMHMC exploration took a group of teenagers from the Humboldt Park area way north to explore the Edgewater community. The explorers took an Intro to 3D Printing Class at Edgewater Workbench, ate lunch at the Ethiopian Diamond Restaurant, and visited Lickity Split Candy Shop.

Tom Nash says, “We believe in MBMHMC’s position that the exposure will have a very positive impact on the world view of these kids and help them see more of what might be possible. At Nash Disability Law we are Chicagoans. We represent people from the entire greater Chicago metro area. We have clients from every neighborhood, nearly every walk of life, and every type of disability. I believe we all can be better people if we use MBMHMC’s theme to guide us. If we visit each other and listen to each other, we can learn much.”
