Mary Walters is a hearing attorney at Nash Disability Law. She advocates for clients by arguing their cases before administrative law judges, cross-examining medical and vocational experts, and drafting Appeals Council briefs.
Prior to joining Nash, Mary worked at a large consumer bankruptcy firm, where she advocated for clients in Federal Court. Prior to that, she practiced primarily in family law, probate, and criminal defense.
She attended the University of Louisville, where she studied music business and marketing before moving to Chicago in 2010 to attend law school. She graduated from The John Marshall Law School with a certificate in trial advocacy and intellectual property. During law school, she worked at the Cook County States Attorney’s Office in the cold case, human trafficking, and narcotics divisions. She also competed as a member of the Pepperdine Entertainment Law Moot Court competition and the ABA Representation in Mediation competition.
