Cornfest Family Fun Day

An all-around great time is coming on Sunday, September 10, at the Cornfest Family Fun Day. This annual free event in Oak Brook will offer plenty of picnic-style food like hot dogs, hamburgers, roasted corn-on-the-cob, sweet taffy apples, and homemade desserts.

The entertainment lineup will include music, games, races, and a fishing tournament for kids. Always popular with youngsters, the giant woodpile will be back, where they can use hammers, nails, and paint to create whatever they want. There will also be a make-and-take corn husk doll project. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Graue Mill and Museum, 3800 York Road.

(Admission to Cornfest Family Fun Day is free. Food will be available for purchase and for some craft activities there will be a modest charge.)
