A spotlight on one of the professional team members who works for you at Nash Disability Law.

“‘You control your reality.’ That advice from my mother stays with me daily,” Nash Disability Law Case Manager Adrian Navarro will tell you. “It is a simple but powerful statement once you put it to work. I am learning how to become the best version of myself. I am passionate about making the world a better place, one step at a time. It brings me joy to perform small acts of kindness to others even if it’s someone I do not know.”

Because he cares deeply about helping others, it is obvious that Adrian is a natural for his work as a case manager helping people apply for disability benefits.

“My responsibilities are to follow up with disability claims to ensure we have the right evidence, and that our clients’ cases are being processed as they should be by Social Security,” he explains.

“I also believe that an important part of my job is to comfort our clients and to educate them regarding the Social Security Administration’s processes. I always want to be a person that they can speak with—a person who is understanding, compassionate, and invested in their cases through this difficult transition in their lives. I am by their side as someone who wants to see them succeed. I enjoy the journey. I am there for them through the tough times, and I especially want to be there when they are ecstatic once they are approved for benefits.”

When asked about how he likes to spend his free time, Adrian says with a smile, “I adore spending time with my family. My wife and kids are the center of it all. I also enjoy playing basketball with friends and having a good laugh. And we can’t overlook the Bears. I grew up in Little Village on the southwest side of Chicago. I am eager for the upcoming Bears season. BEAR DOWN!!!”

Adrian also devotes a portion of his free time to support causes close to his heart. “I proudly endorse Beyond the Ball and Yollocalli nonprofit organizations. They provide after-school activities to urban students to stay out of trouble in Little Village. Beyond the Ball focuses on collaboration and understanding through sports while Yollocalli strengthens creativity through the Arts.”

“I enjoy being of service to our community, our clients, and my family. It brings me great joy to know I helped as much as I could, no matter how big or small.”
