Nash Attorneys Learn to Keep Winning

November 5, 2019

One constant in the world of Social Security disability law is that it is always changing. To better serve our clients, the attorneys and staff at Nash Disability Law are dedicated to staying on top of the dynamic landscape of disability law. One of the many ways that we keep up with the times is by attending professional seminars.

Two Nash Disability Law (NDL) attorneys—Jason Diaz and Devyn Cook— recently attended the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) Annual Conference in New Orleans. Over the course of four days in September, they honed their skills and exchanged ideas with other experienced Social Security Disability lawyers from around the country. They learned more about how one gets approved for Social Security, what determines how long the Social Security disability process will take, why Chicago Social Security claimants need a local lawyer, how to make the Chicago Social Security disability process work even better, what happens when the claimant goes to a Social Security medical exam, how to best advocate for clients at a Chicago Social Security Disability hearing, and much more.

Nash Attorney Devyn Cook had this observation about the conference: “In addition to learning valuable practice tips and meeting other Social Security disability attorneys, I was reminded of why so many of our disabled clients need our help navigating the sometimes impossibly complicated bureaucratic process of applying for disability benefits. These are people who need our advocacy.”
