“Sundays on State” Returns to Chicago

June 5, 2023

Chicago’s biggest and most popular block party is coming back again this summer. Sundays on State will once again transform Chicago’s best-known street when it closes to all motorized vehicles and turns over to Chicagoans for a social gathering.

Free and open to the public, Sundays on State will safely allow all of us to enjoy food, drinks, art, shopping, culture, and active recreation in the heart of the city.

Now in its third year, the internationally acclaimed and award-winning event will take place on two summer dates: July 16 and August 13 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. With a larger footprint this year, State Street will be closed from Lake to Adams.

Want to attend the events? Register for free today, and earn a chance to win a $1,000 Loop Staycation package.

Sundays on State is sponsored by the Chicago Loop Alliance.

Chicago Loop Alliance President and CEO Michael Edwards points out that, “Chicagoans from every neighborhood and visitors alike gather together to experience the best of our city on its most iconic street, State Street. The event series continues to attract thousands, providing unique access to hundreds of small businesses, artists and entrepreneurs from across the Chicagoland area, while also accelerating the Loop’s economic recovery.”
