Meet Janet Vazquez, Nash Disability Law Case Manager

A spotlight on one of the professional team members who works for you at Nash Disability Law.

Under the best of circumstances, the requirements and regulations for winning Social Security Disability benefits are complex and difficult to decipher.

Now imagine how hard it would be to navigate through the system if English wasn’t your first language. That is where Nash Disability Law staff members like Case Manager Janet Vazquez provide vital support and assistance to our clients.

“I am bilingual, so I can assist and guide clients regardless of whether they speak Spanish or English,” Janet explains.

“Spanish is my first language, and I love that I can help clients when there is a language barrier, because clear communication can make all the difference. Being able to listen patiently and explain the process in a way they understand and ensure that their voice is heard is very important to me.

“I truly love helping clients navigate their disability claims, especially during what can be a very stressful time in their lives. Supporting them through the process, answering questions, and advocating on their behalf allows me to make a meaningful difference.

“Knowing that my work can bring clarity, relief, and hope to someone who needs it most is what makes this job so rewarding.”

Janet grew up in a suburb of Chicago in a family of three children. “My parents emigrated to the U.S. more than 45 years ago in hopes of one day providing a better future for our family,” she reflects. “I am grateful to them for giving up all that they ever knew, to give us all that we have.”

Her passion for family extends to her husband and children. “They are the center of my life. I find my greatest joy in supporting them and sharing everyday moments together like summertime cookouts and bonfires. Enjoying these simple moments with family is what means the most to me.

“I am very involved in my kids’ school. I believe that our kids are our future and I like to be involved in their school activities.”

When asked to reflect on her philosophy of life, she is quick to respond. “Life is too short, live like there is no tomorrow. For me, this is a call to embrace the present.”
