Free Halloween Family Fun—BatFest

BatFest is Batavia’s annual Halloween-themed family event. This year’s free family festival happens on Saturday, October 27, and is expected to attract more than 2500 “ghouls”—big and small.

Among the attractions at BatFest 2018 are a Halloween parade, dance performances, costume contests (for people and pets), a pumpkin carving contest, spooky story-telling, songs, and a whole lot more. The centerpiece and most popular event for kids at BatFest is the two-hour downtown trick or treating which kicks off at 10 am. Other crowd-favorites include a marshmallow shooting range and a boy-scout-hosted pumpkin roll.

Also at the festival, shop the last of the Farmers’ Market’s outdoor season.

Events take place in downtown Batavia, at the Batavia Riverwalk, and at Peg Bond Pavilion from 10 am to 2 pm.
